Cedric
Cedric is our resident bird. He is a male yellow Nape
Amazon Parrot who is 25 to 30 years old! Cedric came to
us in 1980, the year Dr. Myers came to Danvers Animal Hospital.
Cedric was to be euthanized by his owner because of osteomyelitis
(bone infection) of his toes. His owner at the time gave
him up to Dr. Myers, who amputated some of his toes and
put him on antibiotics for a year. This cured Cedric and
he then became part of The Danvers Animal Hospital family.
He has been entertaining our clients and their children
ever since. He loves to talk and sing, but on his terms!
He can bark like a dog, whistle, and repeat some phrases.
To everyone’s delight, he also sings a few bars of “Bali
High”!
Next time you are visiting our hospital, say hi to Cedric!
Ashton

Everybody who visits the Danvers Animal Hospital comes
in contact with Ashton in one way or another!
Ashton is our resident hospital cat. He was adopted through
the rescue organization, Strays In Need. He captured our
hearts in February of 2001 and has been at the hospital
ever since.
You may see Ashton lounging on the reception counter or
sashaying by your pet in the waiting room. He truly is
a ham. We even have clients who come specifically
to visit Ashton!
If you have not met Ashton, the next time you visit please
ask for him…he will entertain you while he steals
your heart!
